LMAO
That is EXACTLY what I thought when I first saw this commercial. XDDD

I think what got me most was the commercial they made about it later.
At first I was a bit peeved at how they portrayed girls liking video games. She certainly didn’t LOOK the type and felt more like an excuse to throw a girl/potential love interest into the mix.
But then, after thinking that, I realized how shallow of a thought that was and decided to give the girl another chance. Gaming is not limited to girls who dress in a specific manner and/or look a certain way. So, with this in mind, I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt.
I was interested in seeing how the show portrayed girls playing video games. Hell, maybe they would surprise me in showing the public that just because the girl dresses nicely and seems the “girly” type that doesn’t mean she doesn’t divulge in gaming and the like.
Of course there was a good chance they would go the opposite way and make her to be some sort of a “gamr gurl” but it would still be a bit of a step foward.
BUT NO.
INSTEAD they played another commercial where the guy states, “OH, BTW, SHE DOESN’T PLAY VIDEO GAMES. SHE’S JUST A GIRL.”
That was just beyond stupid and incredibly frustrating.
I mean, why even have a girl in a show focusing on video games if you’re not going to have her take part in them as much as the boys.
Instead of having her be an equal part of their group, you have her being set aside because of her gender and treating her like she’s just “another girl.”
The show sounded stupid enough to begin with, so this is just another nail on their cancellation coffin.
It’s still really fucking stupid though.
